What does meaningful collaboration between youth peacebuilders and the private sector look like?
The Missing Partner? is a global research initiative led by the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation through Investing and Partnering with Youth for Peace (IPYP). Developed in collaboration with youth researchers across Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Sweden and the United States, the project emerged from conversations with youth peacebuilders who identified a shared need for practical knowledge on how to build effective partnerships.
As part of this initiative, a series of regional case studies examines how youth-led organisations and initiatives engage with private-sector actors in different contexts. Together, they document successful partnerships, key challenges and practical lessons for developing more meaningful, equitable and sustainable collaboration. Complementing the case studies, The Missing Partner? synthesis report compiles lessons learned, challenges and best practices across case studies, providing in-depth insights into specific partnership experiences and offering practical examples for youth organisations, private-sector actors, donors and policymakers.
